The most popular uncle in America is coming to Fort Hood.

Si Robertson, of television’s “Duck Dynasty” fame, will be signing his book “Si-cology 1: Tales and Wisdom from Duck Dynasty’s Favorite Uncle” from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Clear Creek Main Exchange.

“We knew Duck Dynasty was a popular show and that he had a book out,” said David Swenson, main store manager, explaining the reasoning behind asking Robertson to appear at the exchange.

Robertson, a Vietnam War veteran, spent more than 20 years in the Army, making his appearance a perfect fit for the Fort Hood community.

He and his family are featured on the A&E reality show “Duck Dynasty,” which highlights their family business. The avid outdoorsmen run Duck Commander, a duck call company in West Monroe, La. The company is helmed by Robertson’s nephew, Willie.

Robertson is known for his lengthy beard, spontaneous nature and catch phrases, making him a standout figure on the program.

After he agreed to make a stop at the military post, others were added to his book tour.

Robertson will sign copies of his book only, without time for personalization.

Attendees are welcome to take photos while passing in line, but there will be no posed photos with Robertson.

“We expect over 1,000 people to show up for the book signing, which is a great turnout for the Exchange,” Swenson said.
