III Corps Staff Sgt. Colton Smith’s latest Ultimate Fighting Championship fight in June may have been his final one on the circuit.

The UFC released Smith from his contract last week after Smith lost via submission to Carlos Diego Ferreira on June 28 in San Antonio.

Smith is an instructor for Fort Hood combatives and first gained notoriety in the sport by winning “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson” reality show.

Smith is 1-3 in UFC fights and 3-4 overall.
