Nature in Lights: Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area’s 17th annual holiday celebration, open to the public, features a 5½-mile drive through a winter wonderland of holiday scenes. Attendees can visit Santa’s Village along the way, where they can enjoy hot cocoa and homemade baked goods, vendors and craft booths. Photos with Santa are available. Santa’s Depot, located at Marina Cove, offers a train ride to view lights seen on the drive and a petting zoo with pony rides and concessions. Additional fees apply. The fee for a car, minivan or pickup truck is $5, with additional fees for larger vehicles. Santa’s Village is open Thursday to Sunday through Dec. 15, and nightly Dec. 19-24. Winter Reading Program: Register online for the Casey Memorial Library’s Winter Reading Program at or in the library through January. Children, adults and teens can earn a prize for reading five hours or 10 books (up to six prizes total). Log reading online or at a library computer. Unlimited Golf: Golf from noon until dusk for $20 to $24 at the Courses of Clear Creek. Offer excludes weekends and federal/training holidays. Price based on rank.

Kiddie Train: Ride the Kiddie Express Train at the Clear Creek Main Exchange parking lot from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Tickets are $3 for children and $5 for adults.


Preschool Story Time: Enjoy stories, songs and a craft on a weekly theme from 10 to 11 a.m. in Room 156 of Casey Memorial Library annex. Day cares and home-schoolers are welcome.


Children’s Bingo: Players (children, ages 2-12) receive lunch, goodies and prizes. Doors open at 10 a.m., bingo starts at 11 a.m., $5 per person (in order to ensure every child has a seat and is able play, please limit additional guests). Make and Take Craft Night: Make some ornaments for the Christmas tree from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Casey Memorial Library children’s room. Crafts include a puzzle piece wreath and candy cane. All ages are invited.
