Winter Reading Program: Register online for the Casey Memorial Library’s Winter Reading Program at http://usarmy.evanced.info/casey/sr/homepage.asp or in the library through January. Children, adults and teens can each earn a prize for reading five hours or 10 books (up to six prizes total). Log reading online or at a library computer. Print the log and show it at the administration office for prizes. Call 254-287-2716.

Through Feb. 28

Unlimited Golf: Golf from noon until dusk for $20 to $24 at the Courses of Clear Creek. Offer excludes weekends and federal/training holidays. Price based on rank.

Through May 23

WINGS support group: Group meets at the Spiritual Fitness Center Building 12012 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on the third and fourth Fridays of each month, in partnership with the Fort Hood Chaplains’ Office and the Family Advocacy Program. Preschool Story Time: Enjoy stories, songs and a craft on a weekly theme from 10 to 11 a.m. in Room 156 of Casey Memorial Library annex. Day cares and home-schoolers are welcome.

Saturday

Paws for Reading: A new reading program from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Casey Memorial Library children’s room. Reading to a dog makes reading aloud less intimidating, so it is great for children who are struggling with reading and for beginning readers. Children must be preregistered for the program, so call the circulation desk at 254-287-4921 to sign up for a session.

Saturday

Free screening of the upcoming Jack Ryan’s “Shadow Recruit” at Palmer Theater. Doors open at noon, and the movie starts at 2 p.m.

Every Tuesday

Ladies’ Day: Ladies get twilight green fees and 10 percent off in-stock women’s apparel purchases at the Courses of Clear Creek.

Jan. 23

Make and Take Craft Night: Come out and make a snowman banner from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Casey Memorial Library children’s room. All ages are invited.

Jan. 25

LTS Travel Expo: Are you already thinking about what your family can be doing this Spring Break? Come out from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Phantom Warrior Center, Building 194 on 37th Street. This event is free and open to all. There will be representatives from amusement parks, water parks, visitor’s bureaus and hotels. Enter to win great door prizes. Monday Mini Job Fairs will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Oveta Culp Hobby Soldier and Family Readiness Center on Jan. 27 and Feb. 3.

The Mega Job Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 15 at Club Hood.
