Go to the Clear Creek Main Exchange operators office to sign your children, ages 5 to 13, up for the annual Arizona Cardinal Christmas Show on Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. Practice is Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.

My Army Life in Photos Contest

Army MWR has announced its first My Army Life in Photos Contest. Win prizes by submitting your best photos of Army life. Weekly winners will be awarded in the following categories: Vacation Fun from Nov. 19-27, Patriotic Pets from Nov. 28 through Dec. 6 and MWR Moments from Dec. 7-15. Grand prize: complete digital camera set, $1,000 gift certificate and photo featured in an Installation Management Command, Army MWR branded campaign. Two theme-entry prizes per week: $100 and $50 Shutterfly gift cards. Participants must be 18 or older and may submit up to five photos per theme-entry period. Nature in Lights

Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area presents Nature in Lights XVI: A Holiday Tradition, from 5:30 to 11 p.m. nightly. Drive through the park and enjoy more than 115 illuminated, animated light displays choreographed to the tunes of the season, that span over five and a half miles of holiday-inspired scenes. Pick up your free Fifth Annual Nature in Lights Christmas Ornament Monday through Wednesday evenings, while supplies last. One ornament will be passed out per vehicle. Stop by Santa’s Village, featuring Cowboy Café, for hot chocolate, homemade cookies, seasonal crafts and a photo with Santa Thursday through Sunday: until Dec. 9 and nightly Dec. 13 through 24. Hop on the tram at Santa’s Depot, located in the parking lot of the Marina Cove, for a special trail of lights not seen by vehicular traffic. Gate fees for Nature In Lights are as follows: Cars, mini-vans and pick-ups are $5; Limos, RVs and 15-passenger vans are $15; 24-passenger vans are $25; and 47-passenger vans or larger buses are $40. Phantom Warrior Scramble

Teams must consist of three players from the same division, directorate, battalion, brigade, company or branch, as well as any additional player that the team desires. Shotgun start at 11 a.m., 10 to 10:45 a.m. on-site registration is $30 per person, with the option to purchase mulligans for an additional $5 per person. Friday and Dec. 15-16

Bring Everyone in the Zone is hosting a food drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and on Dec. 15 and 16 at the Killeen WalMart. In addition to canned goods, they are also collecting other types of nonperishables such as rice, pasta, cereal, dried beans and baby food. Also, personal care items such as toilet paper, baby diapers, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste and paper towels.

Retired Lt. Gen. Dave Palmer, former Superintendent of West Point and author, will be at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Harker Heights at 1 p.m. Palmer will be signing his latest book, “George Washington´s Military Genius.”

Fred Ernst will be back at the Clear Creek Main Exchange center lobby for all your “Mancave Solutions.”

Monday through Jan. 13

Join the Winter Reading Program at the Casey Memorial Library. Register online or in the library throughout December and January. Children, adults and teens can earn a prize each week for reading two hours or four books. The Casey Memorial Library is located in Building 3202 on 72nd Street and 761st Tank Battalion Avenue. Board Game Night and Chess Club

All are invited to come and play board games at Casey Memorial Library from 5 to 7 p.m. Some of the games available are chess, checkers, Chutes and Ladders, Scrabble, Dominos, and Pictionary. Dec. 8

Williamson County Symphony Orchestra

Catch “The Spirit of Christmas” as Williamson County Symphony Orchestra performs free for all military families. The symphony is composed of several dedicated musicians from the Williamson County area who enjoy sharing beautiful music with the world. The concert will be at Howze Theater, building 3300 on Battalion Avenue. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. performance, which will conclude at 10 p.m. For more information, call (254) 288-7835.

Sunday Brunch with Santa

Guess who’s coming to brunch? Santa is, that’s who! So, be sure to arrive with cameras and appetites ready for a real treat. It all happens at Club Hood, Buillding 5764 on 24th Street at Tank Destroyer Boulevard from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brunch is $19.95 for adults, $ 6.95 for children (5-12 years of age) and free for children 4 years of age and younger.
