Hood Howdy

Are you familiar with moving and not knowing anything about your new community? Have you become overwhelmed with the size of Fort Hood and everything being so big in Texas? Well, saddle up, partner, because Fort Hood has you covered with its biannual event, Hood Howdy. The newcomers information and minicareer fair is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Club Hood, Building 5764 on 24th Street at Tank Destroyer Boulevard. Hood Howdy is a family-friendly event, full of information to get to know your new hometown and neighbors, including area chambers of commerce, more than 100 area businesses and agencies, door prizes and refreshments. Come and check out the Family and MWR room for a chance to win an amazing prize. And don’t forget about the other multitude of activities that will be occurring throughout the event. Mardi Gras Party

Grab your Mardi Gras hats and masks and head to the Backbone NCO Lounge. Enjoy a live DJ spinning Zydeco and all of your favorites. Free Mardi Gras beads, meatballs, fried catfish and chicken wings!
