The K’Paza Mobile Cuban Food Truck will be back at the Clear Creek Main Exchange parking lot from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Now Open

GNC opened a new store at the 1st Cav Mini Mall, Building 33012. Check out the new store from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday though Friday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call (254) 532-1706.

Now though Aug. 16

Extended hours at the Health Promotions Aerobics and Skating Center

The Health Promotions Skate and Aerobics Center has extended its hours for the summer. Come out to the center, Building 324 on 37th Street, now open for open skate, every Tuesday through Friday. The skate center is open from 2 to 5 p.m. For $5, get in the door and spend the day at the rink. For more information, call (254) 287-5623.

Casey Memorial Library Summer Reading Program: Activities for ages pre-k to 17 from 9 to 10 a.m. This week’s theme is South America.

Friday

U.S. Paralympics Adaptive Experience: Fort Hood’s Child, Youth & School Services Youth Sports & Fitness has an opportunity to engage in various adaptive sports. The U.S. Paralympics Adaptive Experience takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Abrams Physical Fitness Center, Building 23001 on 62nd Street at Support Avenue. This event is free and open to all. Saturday

Fort Hood Army 10-Miler Team Time Trials: Fort Hood Family and MWR will conduct two 10-Mile Time Trial events to assess and select active-duty military team members to represent Fort Hood at the 2013 Army Ten-Miler on Oct. 20 in Washington, D.C. The time trials will be conducted on Saturday and July 20 with a start time of 6:30 a.m. The course will be an out and back course that begins and ends in the vicinity of the Shell and Valero Stations just off of U.S. Highway 190 in Nolanville on South Main Street. Participants interested in training for the 10-miler prior to the time trials, are welcome to attend training sessions that are conducted twice weekly. Interval training is conducted at the Harker Heights High School Track on Tuesday and a tempo run begins at Carl Levin Park in Harker Heights on Thursday. Movie Matinee: The Casey Memorial Library will screen “Mulan” from 2 to 4 p.m. Popcorn and a beverage are provided. The movie will be shown in room 156 in the library annex.

New Exchange Mall Ground Breaking: Army & Air Force Exchange Services will break ground on the new Exchange Mall at 11 a.m. at the corner of Clear Creek Road and Tank Destroyer Boulevard.
