Go to the Clear Creek Main Exchange operators office to sign your children up for the annual Arizona Cardinal Christmas Show. Children 5 to 13 are invited to join in the fun. The show is Dec. 14 at 5 p.m., and practice is Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.

Through Nov. 30

2012 Army Digital Photo Contest

Look through archived photos or grab digital cameras and get that perfect shot. Images will be judged in five categories*: people, place, object, military life and experimental process. There are two separate divisions:

Division I — active-duty participants

Color Digital Images Class (5 categories)

Monochrome Images Class (5 categories)

Division II — authorized MWR patrons**

Color Digital Images Class (5 categories)

Monochrome Images Class (5 categories)

First-, second- and third-place will be awarded for each class and category. To enter, participants must complete the online profile and submit entries by Nov. 30 at https://apps.imcom.army.mil/apptracmain. The contest guide and entry forms are available at Apache Arts & Crafts Center, building 2337 at Tank Battalion Avenue and 62nd Street.

*Official photographs taken for service functions or in the line of duty are not eligible.

**Includes: Soldiers’ families, retirees, civilian employees and families.

Through Dec. 15

My Army Life in Photos Contest

Army MWR has announced its first My Army Life in Photos Contest. Win prizes by submitting your best photos of Army life. Weekly winners will be awarded in the following categories: Vacation Fun from Nov. 19-27, Patriotic Pets from Nov. 28 through Dec. 6 and MWR Moments from Dec. 7-15. Grand prize: complete digital camera set, $1,000 gift certificate and photo featured in an Installation Management Command, Army MWR branded campaign. Two theme-entry prizes per week: $100 and $50 Shutterfly gift cards. Participants must be 18 or older and may submit up to five photos per theme-entry period. Army Community Service Holiday Operations

All Fort Hood Army Community Service facilities, with the exception of Army Emergency Relief, will be closed Nov. 23 and Dec. 24 and 31. The AER office, in the Rivers Building, Building 121, will remain operational from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for those requiring emergency financial assistance. For emergency financial assistance after duty hours, call the American Red Cross at (877) 272-7337.

Saturday

Learn about the Circle of Life during Science Saturday Make and Take from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Casey Memorial Library Children’s Room. For more information, call (254) 287-2716. The library is Building 3202 on 72nd Street and 761st Tank Battalion Avenue.

Nov. 30

Phantom Warrior Scramble

Teams must consist of three players from the same division, directorate, battalion, brigade, company or branch, as well as any additional player that the team desires. Shotgun start at 11 a.m., 10 to 10:45 a.m. on-site registration is $30 per person, with the option to purchase mulligans for an additional $5 per person. The Courses at Clear Creek is Building 52381 on Battalion Avenue at Clear Creek Road. For more information, call (254) 287-4130.

Nov. 30

Saints and Sinners Comedy Tour

Looking for a night of fun and laughter? Then join us at the Phantom Warrior Center for the Saints and Sinners Comedy Tour, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. This show mixes the mainstream, working man’s material of Matthew Lumpkin with the ego boosted flair of Patrick Jolie. The show is free and open to all; performance may contain material that may be offensive or inappropriate for individuals younger than 18. For more information, call (254) 288-7835.
