Nature in Lights: Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area’s 17th annual holiday celebration, open to the public nightly, features a 5½-mile drive through a winter wonderland of holiday scenes. Attendees can visit Santa’s Village along the way, where they can enjoy hot cocoa and homemade baked goods, vendors and craft booths. Photos with Santa are available. Santa’s Depot, located at Marina Cove, is a train ride to view lights seen on the drive and there’s a petting zoo with pony rides and concessions. Additional fees apply. The fee for a car, minivan or pickup truck is $5, with additional fees for larger vehicles. Santa’s Village is open Thursday to Sunday through Dec. 15, and nightly Dec. 19-24. Make and Take Craft Night: Make a paper bag scarecrow between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Casey Memorial Library children’s room.
Preschool Story Time: Enjoy stories, songs and a craft on a weekly theme from 10 to 11 a.m. in Room 156 of Casey Memorial Library annex. Day cares and home-schoolers are welcome.
Ladies’ Day: Ladies get twilight green fees and 10 percent off in-stock women’s apparel purchases at the Courses of Clear Creek.
Architecture Saturday: Learn about famous buildings and draw your own between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Casey Memorial Library children’s room.
Watch Party: Pacquiao vs. Rios: Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios battle in a 12-round welterweight rumble. Enjoy drink specials and finger foods available for purchase. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., $10 cover charge, open to everyone 18 or older. Call 254-532-5073.
Thanksgiving Event: Manager’s specials on select wines and local vendors with demo giveaways from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Class Six.

All aboard: Ride the Kiddie Express Train at the Clear Creek Main Exchange Parking Lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children are $3 and adults are $5.

Kris Kringle Mart: Meet Santa at the Clear Creek Main Exchange by the front checkout counters with Mobile Food plus numerous Exchange Business Partners offering a variety of gift choices for the holidays in front of the store.
Hood Hoedown: Kick off the holiday season of parties with a good old-fashioned Southwestern party at Backbone Lounge. There will be a live DJ, drink specials and a mechanical bull. Prizes for the Best Western Dress Contest. There is no cover for this party. Open to all age 18 and older. Call 254-287-2007.
Williamson County Symphony Orchestra: The sounds of the holiday season are in the air, as Williamson County Symphony presents “Music That Lifts the Spirit” at Howze Theater, Building 33000 on Battalion Avenue near 75th Street.
