“Do you know the Federal Employment Hiring Process?” Career Information Session

The “Do you know the Federal Employment Hiring Process?” Career Information Session will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Building 9407 on Battalion Avenue, behind the 19th Street Chapel. It is free to all DoD ID card holders who are seeking federal employment. Guest speaker Rodney Leonard from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management will provide job seekers with information directly related to the Federal Employment hiring process such as: determining if you qualify for a Hiring Authority, determining a “Best Qualified” resume, and explain the Military Spouse Non-Competitive Hiring Authority. Saturday and Sunday

Bring Everyone in the Zone is hosting a food drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Killeen Walmart. In addition to the normal canned goods, they are also collecting other types of nonperishables such as rice, pasta, cereal, dried beans and baby food. Also, personal care items such as toilet paper, baby diapers, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste and paper towels.

Six Flags Logo Electric Guitar Sweepstakes

Win big by purchasing tickets to Six Flags Fiesta Texas from Leisure Travel Services, Building 136 on 761st Tank Battalion, next to Military Clothing Sales through Dec. 13. Purchaser will be entered into a drawing for a 39-inch electric guitar with a Six Flags logo on it. The drawing will be held Dec. 14.

Open to family and MWR patrons. You do not need to be present to win.

Join the Winter Reading Program at the Casey Memorial Library. Register online or in the library throughout December and January. Santa’s coming to your Clear Creek Main Exchange’s toy department from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Come to Clear Creek Main Exchange for a liquor tasting from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Casey Memorial Library’s Preschool Story Time features stories and a craft on a weekly theme. Day cares and homeschoolers are also welcome. Wreaths Across America

DAV Chapter 147 will host the national Wreaths Across America event at 11 a.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Participate in this nationwide living tribute, using real wreaths, to our fallen American veterans. For more information, contact retired Lt. Col. Randy Brumagim at (254) 681-4515.

Children’s Christmas Bingo

Let the little ones enjoy a little game of bingo from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Watch their faces light up as they play, win prizes and shout “BINGO!” For only $3 per child (2 to 12 years old) children can enjoy 10 games for toys, lunch, coloring books and goodie bags, all at the Community Events and Bingo Center. In order to ensure every child has a seat and is able play, please limit additional adult guests. Monday

Bring your pet to pose with Santa for a memorable photo between 6 and 7 p.m. at the Clear Creek Main Exchange Toy department. Use the Southside Entrance only to visit Santa.

Tuesday

Col. Griffith and his choir will be appearing at the Clear Creek Food Court for a Christmas Choir from 1 to 1:30 p.m.
