Commuter Van Pool

Need a ride? Join the Commuter Van Pool. Federal employees who participate in a mass transportation service such as vanpool will qualify to receive a monthly, tax-free benefit of up to $125 toward the monthly operating cost. They would simply need to ride 50 percent of their work days/month to receive this stipend that is provided in the form of vouchers.

Registration is required with the post program point of contact. A vanpool is a shared ride arrangement for five to 15 individuals who commute from the same home area or route. To sign up or for more information, go to www.militaryvanpool.com.

Leisure Travel Services Travel Expo

Plan a trip down to the Leisure Travel Services Travel Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Phantom Warrior Center and check out what LTS has to offer. Representatives from more than 25 travel vendors, such as Disney World, Six Flags, Casa Blanca Travel Agency, Schlitterbahn, Sea World and Ripley’s will be present. The Travel Expo is free and open to all, and attendees even have an opportunity to win amazing door prizes, travel discounts and more. Catch the biggest football game of the year at the Backbone NCO Lounge. Doors open at 5 p.m., and event is free and open to everyone ages 18 or older. Participants will have a chance to win a 32-inch TV or additional prizes throughout the night. The Backbone NCO Lounge, located inside Phantom Warrior Center, Building 194 on 37th Street, offers 14 flat panel 42-inch TV screens to watch the game as well as free bar snacks and other food and drinks available for purchase.
