Preschool Storytime: Casey Memorial Library’s weekly gathering features stories and a craft on a theme. Day cares and home-schooled students are welcome. Storytimes are from 10 to 11 a.m. in Room 156 of the library annex, Building 3202, 72nd Street and 761st Tank Battalion Avenue.

Starting in June

Happy Hour at the Java Café: Take advantage of 15 percent off beverages during Happy Hour at Java Café, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Java Café serves Starbucks products, muffins, sweet treats, warm beverages and chilled refreshments. The drive-thru facility also boasts an outdoor seating area as well as a walk-up service window. Java Café is in the Rivers Building parking lot, on the corner of T.J. Mills Boulevard and 761st Tank Battalion Avenue; and is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call (254) 287-2129.

2013 Single Soldiers’ Fest: Fort Hood’s Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers has designed a great day to be outside in the fresh air with your friends and compete in unit sports competitions or just relax at one of the many fine exhibits at the 2013 Single Soldiers Festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area. There will be free activities, entertainment and food. Call (254) 287-6116.

The Book Club will meet from noon to 1 p.m. to discuss “A Stolen Life” by Jaycee Dugard. Bring a lunch. The book club will be in Room 160 in the library annex. Youth and College Students Career Launch and Job Fair: Army Community Service and Child, Youth & School Services host the Youth and College Students Career Launch and Career Fair.
