Allowed to ask about personal firearms?

Mental health professionals are urging Congress to include language in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2013 that would allow them to ask service members at risk of suicide about whether they own personal firearms. Counselors hope that encouraging service members to take extra precaution with weapons storage would minimize troop suicides.
