Bible study draws participants from range of denominations

Herald/John Bowersmith - Dr. Stephen Vancura leads the lunchtime Bread of Life Bible Study last week at the Heart of Texas Defense Alliance on Illinois Avenue in Killeen. A former atheist, Vancura had an epiphany after reading a Gideon Bible in a Georgia hotel room in 1979. The Metroplex Hospital radiologist has led the class since 2001 and has drawn praise from participants, including one who has earned a theology degree.
