Copperas Cove fire ladder extends to 75 feet

Well Rocky, there are a few reasons...
1. because the ladder can also be used to reach 75 feet horizontally as well as vertically in rescue situations
2. because CCFD is close enough to back up Fort Hood, Killeen, HH, Belton, and Temple should they have large enough fires that require assistance from other departments
3. if you don't like how your tax dollars are being spent in this "podunk" town, move somewhere else

Why does a Podunk town like Copperas Cove need a 75 foot ladder truck? Is there anything in Cove that is over 6 stories? I understand the need for future growth but I don't think anything in Cove will ever exceed 7 stories, do you? Think About It.......Seems to me to be a waste of our tax dollars when there are many, many more important things that money could have gone to.......
