Dino Cannon Sr., left, and Daphne Cannon, parents of Dino Cannon Jr., react as an announcement was made of a scholarship in their son's name during a ceremony posthumously inducting Cannon into the Prairie View A&M University National Alumni Association on Saturday at Rancier Middle School. Cannon, who was murdered in June 2012 outside a Florida nightclub where he was celebrating his recent graduation and 18th birthday with his four sisters and friends, signed to play football for Prairie View A&M before his death.
