Participants take part in the annual Billy Sneed Juneteenth Parade, Friday, June 13, 2014 in downtown Killeen. The parade kicked off at the Killeen City Hall and toured the downtown area. Hundreds of residents lined the streets to see the annual event to celebrate the 151st anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. The parade was just one of several planned events to kick off the weekend celebrating Juneteenth. Saturday morning area residents are encouraged to visit the Killeen Community Center at 10 a.m. for a program and picnic.
