The Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce website has gone green. Green in color that is.

"About two weeks ago we had it updated so the people that are members of the chamber are not looking at the same thing." Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce President Bill Kozlik said.

While frequently updated changes help keep members alert and motivated throughout the year, the chamber website is a good source of information for the community as well - especially those who are new to Harker Heights.

Although the website may have changed in appearance, Kozlik said, "We (the chamber) still get lots of hits on it, people moving to the community and wanting to know about Harker Heights."

Kozlik noted that all of the headers on the site have been updated. And eye-catching banners displaying upcoming chamber events, such as the 17th annual golf tournament to be held next weekend and the Central Texas Food and Wine Festival set for early September, make it especially easy for the community to stay informed.

The updated site allows viewers to have access to these events with just one click that links them to everything they need to know.

At the bottom of the page are links made easily accessible that give an overview of the city, with everything from the city's population to retail and dining amenities.
