More than 160 fashion enthusiasts attended the 18th annual Style Show Luncheon hosted May 16 in Salado by the Chisholm Trail Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.

“I love coming to this event every year,” said Amy Bradford of Harker Heights. “(It’s) such a treat seeing the fashions and, of course, the food is always delicious.”

Fashions were provided by Christy’s, The Howling Wolff, Susan Marie’s and Springhouse, all Central Texas boutiques. Music was performed by Harker Heights resident Marissa Michalewiz, who was awarded ABWA scholarships in 1999, 2000 and 2003.

“It was a delight to see Marissa perform and the response of the audience to her throughout the show,” said Barclay McCort, organizer and ABWA member.

The show raised more than $5,000 for the ABWA scholarship program and the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund. Three students - Chelsea Boaz, Alexis Bowman and Kathryn Liller — were named 2013 ABWA scholarship recipients.

“I am very pleased with the overall turnout … an amazing sight to see,” McCort said.
