Amy’s Attic Self Storage, 800 Prospector Trail in Harker Heights, is holding its sixth annual Craft Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 14 to benefit Habitat for Humanity.
Amy’s Attic is collaborating with the Central Texas Special Forces Association, Chapter 77 to raise $2,000 at the event.
The family-friendly and free event will feature food, bounce houses for children and crafts for adults, as well as a raffle for gift baskets.
The CTSFA is a nonprofit veteran service organization that has over 9,000 active members who belong to 85 chapters throughout the United States and eight countries around the world.
The Central Texas chapter sponsors an annual fundraising raffle among other activities and donates 100 percent of the money raised to local service charities.
In 2017, the local chapter chose to focus on Habitat for Humanity after being granted eight acres in Nolanville on which they intend to build affordable housing for disabled veterans in need.
Chandra Howard, senior manager and event chairwoman, said, “Not only were we looking for a credible, community oriented association like CTSFA to team up with, we also wanted to find a receiving organization that has excelled in giving back to our community and Habitat for Humanity is just that.”
