Siblings collect coloring books

Siblings Josiah Rentas, 11, his younger sister, Cariel, 10, and little brother, Xavier, 8, are collecting coloring books and crayons for patients at McLane Children’s Hospital Scott & White in Temple. Drop off donations of coloring books and crayons to the Rentas family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 14 at their home, 306 Oak Ridge Drive, Nolanville; Five Below in Market Heights, located between Ross and Dick’s Sporting Goods; Fountain of Beauty Salon and Spa, 2001 S. 57th St., Temple; Nolanville Police Department, 100 N. Main St., Nolanville, or Central Bell County Fire and Rescue, 100 N. Main St., Nolanville.

Ornament workshop at museum

Gather the kids and bring them to the Bell County Museum for the annual free holiday ornament workshop, noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 21. Enjoy hot cider and cookies while making two ornaments — a Christmas dream catcher and a snowy Christmas scene. Call 254-933-5243.

Plant propagation class Monday

The Harker Heights Community Garden will host a free class on “Basic Plant Propagation” from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Harker Heights Activities Center, 400 Indian Trail. Plant propagation is the process of creating new plants from a variety of sources such as plant seeds, cuttings or bulbs. Museum offers unique gift items

Looking for unique gifts for under the tree? Stop by the Bell County Museum Store from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. The store features plush toys such as bison, longhorn and armadillos, and CDs related to the American West, the Civil War and more. Gift givers can also purchase pioneer toys and crafts, paper dolls and books. Also featured are historic church replica ornaments. Call 254-933-5243.

Stress management class Monday

Chaplain Jennifer Cobb will lead a class on managing holiday stress from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday in classrooms 1 and 2 at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, 850 W. Central Texas Expressway. The event is free but seating is limited. To preregister, call 855-855-4469.

Citizens for Soldiers Club

The Citizens for Soldiers Club will have its monthly meeting and workday from noon to 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Belton Senior Activity Center, 842 S. Mitchell St., Belton. The Harker Heights library will do free gift wrapping from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 21.

Beat holiday stress with yoga
