Food drive to benefit Heights food bank

Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce will have a food drive to benefit the Harker Heights Food Care Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 2020 Heights Dr. For more information, call (254) 699-4999.

New Beginning Club meets in Belton

A New Beginning Club, which provides social interaction and fellowship for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one, meets from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the Belton Senior Activity Center, 842 S. Mitchell St. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call Lois Procter at (254) 939-5334.

Chamber awards banquet Monday

The 24th annual Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce awards banquet will be held Monday at Killeen Civic and Conference Center. A social hour starts at 6 p.m. and the dinner program begins at 6:45 p.m. For ticket information, call the Chamber at (254) 699-4999.

Dance at Belton senior center

A country-western dance featuring Bill Harvey and his Miles and Miles of Texas Band will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the Belton Senior Activity Center, 842 S. Mitchell St. A $4 donation per person is requested and guests are asked to bring a finger food or snacks to share during intermission. Arts and crafts fair seeks vendors

Tables are available for the annual Belton Senior Citizens Center arts and crafts fair and sale. Handcrafted items, a bake sale and a food court will be featured at the fair, which raises funds for the senior center.

The fair takes place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at 842 S. Mitchell St. in Belton.
