Pokemon battle: The Stewart C. Meyer Harker Heights Library, 400 Indian Trail, hosts a Pokemon & Yu-Gi-Oh duel for kids ages 10 and up at the library from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. Call 254-953-5491.

Monday | 17

Presidents DAY: Nolanville and Heights city offices, including the library and recreation center, will be closed. Regular hours resume Tuesday.

For Seniors: The Belton Senior Activity Center will be closed for Presidents Day. Anyone needing to schedule or cancel meals, should call 254-939-1170 and leave a message.

Tuesday | 18

For Seniors: The Harker Heights Senior Recreation Program hosts several programs on Tuesdays at the Harker Heights Recreation Center, 307 Miller’s Crossing. At 8:30 a.m., join the Gotta Dance line dancing classes. At 9:30 a.m., the center offers Stretch ’n Go exercise. Beginner line dancing starts at 10 a.m. Tuesdays, as does a Texercise class. Life long learning is at 11 a.m. At 11 a.m., play pickle ball (wear tennis shoes). A woodcarving class starts at noon. Call 254-953-5657.

The Kiwanis Club of Harker Heights meets at noon every Tuesday at the Central Texas Homebuilders Association, 445 E. Central Texas Expressway in Harker Heights.

Wednesday | 19

For Seniors: The Harker Heights Parks and Recreation Department hosts several activities for seniors on Wednesdays. Check out scrabble at 8:30 a.m., water color painting at 10 a.m., pinochle at noon and bunco at 1 p.m. Call 254-953-5657.

Harker Heights Hustlers: The wheelchair basketball team has open practice at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the Harker Heights Recreation Center. Call 254-953-5657.

FOR SENIORS: The Belton Senior Activity Center offers art classes for all skill levels from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Participants may choose their own projects. Cost is $5 per class. Call 254-939-1170, 254-718-1859 or go to www.BeltonSeniorCenter.org.

IT’s Storytime: The Stewart C. Meyer Harker Heights Library, 400 Indian Trail, hosts Toddler Time at 9 a.m. Thursday for children age 2 and younger and Storytime at 10 a.m. Thursday for children ages 3 to 6. Call 254-953-5491.

The Harker Heights Rotary Club meets at 7 a.m. every Thursday at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church at 1000 E. Farm-to-Market 2410. Call Eloise Lundgren at 254-288-9110.

Activities include Exercise to a Latin Beat at 8:30 a.m., Stampin’ Up at 9 a.m., Stretch ’n Go at 9:30 a.m., Texercise at 10 a.m., Thursday Special at 11 a.m., pickle ball at 11:15 a.m. (wear tennis shoes) and canasta at 1 p.m. Call 254-953-5657.
