Class offers insect advice to gardeners

The Harker Heights Community Garden will host a class on “Insects in the Garden,” led by Bell County Master Gardener Gary Slanga, from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Activities Center, 400 Indian Trail.

Slanga will teach gardeners how to manage insects in order to produce healthier plants and a more fruitful garden.

“The class is very beneficial for citizens to attend because they will learn how to classify, fare with, regulate, and prevent ruthless insects,” Sarah Mylcraine, activities specialist, said. “With this knowledge they can yield an improved ample harvest.”
