What do you enjoy most about working in Harker Heights?
There is a lot to do in Harker Heights — more places to go to than in Killeen.
Are you involved in any community activities, organizations or clubs?
When I was in high school, I volunteered for Disabled American Veterans Chapter 29, Cats for Kids — interact with special needs kids and took them places like the lake to do arts and crafts. I am currently not a part of any community organizations since I graduated in June 2013; however, I plan on volunteering again once I start college.
Do you plan on attending college?
I plan on attending Central Texas College, the Killeen campus, in February to be a phlebotomist.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is Corpus Christi because it is near the beach.
Tell me about your family.
I currently live in a four-bedroom home with my stepdad, mom, granddad, three sisters, two nieces and brother-in-law. My older sister and her family are staying with us until they find their own place. They just moved back here from overseas.
What was the last movie you saw? Book read? Favorite television show?
The last movie I saw was “Finding Nemo” at home with my nieces. The last book I read was “The Greasers” by S.E. Hinton. My favorite television show is “Grey’s Anatomy.” I like “Grey’s Anatomy” a lot because I have a huge interest in nursing and hospital stuff.
What was the best advice you were ever given?
The best advice I was ever given was from my mom. She said, “Never give up on what you are doing, no matter what.”
