Taylor Presley

Taylor Presley, 24, lives in Harker Heights and works for Aegis in Killeen.

What do you like about living in Harker Heights?

I enjoy the fact that it is close to everything. I don’t have to go far to get to the places that I need to go on a regular basis.

If you could bring something to Harker Heights, what would it be?

I would bring Panera Bread and a Bojangles into the area.

I think these are great restaurants and we have them in North Carolina. It would be great to have them here.

What is your favorite place to vacation?

My favorite vacation spot is Montreat, N.C. I enjoy this place because it is a church camp in the mountains and it is near Billy Graham’s house.

What was the last movie you saw? Last book read? Favorite TV show?

Movie: “The Wizard of Oz.” Book: The Hunger Games Trilogy. TV Show: “Sons of Anarchy.”

What is your favorite quote?

“Go not knowing where. Bring not knowing what. The way is long. The path unknown.” It is a Chinese Proverb.

If you could give advice to Harker Heights youths, what would it be?

Don’t grow up too soon.

Do you enjoy helping people?

I enjoy helping people, I like being compassionate toward people. I love my job because I get to help people understand their health insurance and what is going on with their insurance.

Tell me about your family.

I think my family is awesome. My family is really supportive. I have three step-sisters and one brother. My family lives in North Carolina.

If you could change anything about Harker Heights what would it be?

I would clean up the area more. I believe people will care more about the area if it is clean.

I would also expand the area. I would build more businesses, create more activities for people to do in the evening besides the clubs.

In my hometown, every Friday during the summer we have what is called Friday Night Live — a huge block party downtown. The downtown area is decorated all nice and set up really pretty.

In North Carolina, there is something to do every weekend for adults and kids besides the club scene.
