Patricia Rios-Moore, 45, is the owner of Xsalonce by Patricia Rios in Harker Heights.

Where do you work and what do you do there?

I am the owner and beautician of Xsalonce by Patricia in Harker Heights. I have been here at this location since 2011. I have been doing hair professionally since 1987. I truly love what I do.

Tell me about your family.

I have been married since September to a wonderful man. We were married at the Justice of the Peace in Killeen. It was small, but so lovely. I have two great children. I have a 19-year-old handsome and very smart boy and a lovely, and smart girl, who is 15.

What was the best advice that you were ever given?

Never regret the gift of giving, it’s the best gift you could ever give. This advice was given to me by a doctor friend of mine.

What community work have you done?

I beautify the world every day. I also volunteer at the concession stand when my son plays football and other events.

Where are you from?

I am originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I am an Army brat, so I have traveled a lot growing up, mainly in the states.

If you could change one thing about your life what would that be?

I would take the advice I was given early on in life.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see things in my business life and personal life becoming bigger, better and expanding. There is always room for advancement and I plan on doing it. I love what I do and strive to always be better and do better than I did yesterday.
