With fall officially underway, and in keeping with the season, Science Club at the Harker Heights Public Library held a special lesson all about that favorite fall fruit — apples.

Children’s librarian Amanda Hairston opened the lesson by saying, “We’ve been talking about the color red at the library, but this is apple season,” and began by reading a nonfiction book, “Apples,” by Ken Robbins.
