Several mothers got to spend quality time with their daughters and raise money for a good cause.

On Saturday, little girls spent the morning with their mothers, with their favorite dolls in tow, at the Harker Heights Recreation Center.

The event was hosted by “Team Bunnies” to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

The girls came with their favorite doll to get dressed up, eat and have their nails done with their dolls and other fun activities.

The event began with the librarians doing a princess-themed storytime, donning tiaras and princess-worthy attire.

“I think the event was very successful and the girls seemed to really enjoy themselves,” said Michelle McBean.

The girls were able to take free photos with their moms.

Members of Team Bunnies were the main volunteers at the event; however, several younger volunteers pitched in.

“I wanted to help with the charity. I thought it would be pretty cool to help out with this cause, I really enjoyed making shoes for the little girls’ dolls,” said DeKari McBean.
