What do you like about Harker Heights?

I like that the area is growing. My business is flourishing in this area. I hope to keep my business in this area.

Where are you from?

I am originally from Killeen. I went to Peebles Elementary School, Manor Middle School, Killeen High School, and I attended Central Texas College.

Tell me about your family.

I have been married for 31 years to Bishop Haywood Polk, senior pastor of the Exalted Praise Worship Center in Harker Heights. He has been pastoring for eight years. I have two grown adult sons and nine grandchildren.

What was the best advice that you were given and by whom?

Always have a means to have your own income, never depend on anyone. This great advice was from my mother.
