Six men and women came together at the Harker Heights Public Library on Saturday morning for what was originally scheduled to be a workshop on writing and self-publishing a novel, but, because of a last-minute cancellation, turned instead into a roundtable discussion on those same topics.

It was reference librarian Christina Link’s quick thinking that saved the day and made the event a successful one.
