Christ Cathedral of Harker Heights will celebrate its second anniversary with special services June 21 and June 23.

The anniversary’s theme is “Making Christ the Center of our Community” from Ephesians 2:20, Pastor Harold VanArsdale said.

“I received revelation from God several years ago that the church in general used to be the center within the community where people could look forward to gaining help,” he said. “Now it has become integrated within the community. I see God bringing the church back into being the central source where people will come to build their faith, gain direction and benefit from the resources we provide.”

The June 21 service kicks off at 7 p.m. with a message from Johnasen Packs of Bridge Builders International Church in Arlington.

“Pastor Packs will be coming to us following his return from ministering in London,” VanArsdale said.

The June 23 evening service begins at 4 p.m., conducted by Bishop R. Ray Gatewood of Bethesda Fellowship Ministries in Copperas Cove.

“Bishop Gatewood has the same spirit of making the church the center within the community,” VanArsdale said.

The church is at 260 Commercial Drive, in a building it shares with the Learning Zone Daycare. For more information, call VanArsdale at (817) 885-0154.
