City approves alcohol permit for food, wine and beer fest

The Harker Heights City Council on Tuesday approved an alcohol permit for the fourth annual Central Texas Food, Wine & Beer Festival set for 3 to 9 p.m. Sept. 14 at Harker Heights Community Park on Farm-to-Market 2410.

Hosted by the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature food, beer and wine tasting and live jazz.

Tickets are $20 before the event and $25 at the door, and $5 for kids ages 7-12. Kids under 7 get in free. Call the chamber at (254) 699-4999 for more information.
