The Harker Heights City Council on Tuesday heard presentations from Jerry Bark, director of Public Relations, and Joseph Molis, director of Planning and Development, about decisions made during the recent 86th Legislative Session that will directly affect the city of Harker Heights.

Bark began by explaining that more bills were introduced in the last session relating to cities than ever before. In 2019, over 7,500 bills were introduced. Of those, 1,400 were passed. Two thousand or about 27 percent of the bills introduced were related to cities.
