A man who was shot and killed in Harker Heights on Saturday was identified as 35-year-old Thomas Raymond West of Harker Heights.
Police are currently looking a man wanted in connection with the homicide.
Joseph Manuel Blas, 26, has been charged with the murder of Thomas Raymond West that took place in the 1000 block of Indian Trail around 6:46 p.m. Blas is being considered a fugitive and the department is asking for help in locating him, according to the police report.
Police are also looking for a second man who is believe to have information related to the homicide. Heights police believe the second man is named Cliff and that he lives in Killeen.
Police received a call of shots fired in the 1000 block of Indian Trail around 6:45 p.m.
Officers arrived almost immediately and found West lying on the ground and bleeding from entry and exit gunshot wounds in the abdomen and hip, according to Harker Heights police.
Officers talked to West while applying pressure to the wounds, said police spokesman Sgt. Steve Miller.
Harker Heights emergency medical crews arrived and attempted life-saving measures; however, West died from his injuries.
An autopsy was ordered by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke. The Harker Heights criminal investigations division is investigating.
