The outpouring of support continues to flow for the family of fallen Killeen police officer Robert “Bobby” Hornsby.

On Monday, Back in Motion Chiropractic Dr. Elizabeth Nixon announced on her business’ Facebook page that she will donate to the Hornsby family all funds collected for initial evaluations performed through Aug. 9.

Robert Hornsby was killed July 14 while responding to an incident with the Killeen SWAT team.

While first-time evaluations usually cost $77 to $200, Nixon is offering the evaluation for just $57. But she’s not concerned about any possible financial loss.

“My main concern is to do what I can to help Kimberly (Hornsby) and the kids,” Nixon said. “Because it’s a new patient special … this is money that I wasn’t counting on. So I’m just doing my part, paying it back, paying it forward.”

To get the discount, first-time patients must mention the Facebook offer.

Nixon went to high school with Hornsby’s wife, Kimberly, and attends church with the family, which includes the Hornsbys’ daughter, Layden, 4, and son, Braxx, 1.

While Nixon donated blood and money to the Hornsby cause, she couldn’t safely run in Saturday’s Hero 5K run because she gave birth in May, she said.

“I knew there had to be a way where I could do more,” Nixon said. “I’m in a position where I could make those decisions based on the business.”
