The Interact Club’s “The School Supplies 4 Africa” drive continues at Harker Heights High School.

During the drive, bags were provided for each teacher to collect the supplies.

A prize will be awarded to the class who made the largest donation.

The last day of the school supplies drive is today.

Items still needed include backpacks, calculators, spiral notebooks, filler paper, binders, colored pencils/crayons and markers.

In addition, the club hopes to collect rulers, erasers, glue, graph paper, pens/pencils, pencil sharpeners, pocket dictionaries and reams of paper.

The student lead group is organizing a 5k neon fun-run and a kids run, called the “Electric Dash.” The event slated for April 12 at the Carl Levin Park.

Interact Club members will be canvassing businesses for sponsors for the event.
