The Harker Heights Event Center was bustling with activity Sunday, as hundreds of area residents and dozens of vendors gathered for the annual Juneteenth celebration.

“This is actually our second time participating in Juneteenth here,” Kakes by Kat owner Kat Tucker said. “We were actually in Waco yesterday at a Juneteenth event, also. I think this is great.”
