Area Good Friday closures

The Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce and the Belton Senior Activity Center will be closed in observance of Good Friday. They will reopen April 21. Anyone needing to schedule or cancel meals at the senior center can call the 254-939-1170 and leave a message.

Chamber to receive military update

Lt. Gen. Mark Milley, III Corps and Fort Hood commander, will provide a military briefing at the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce’s military affairs committee luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 24 at St. Paul Chong Hasang’s Parish Hall, 1000 E. Farm-to-Market 2410, Harker Heights. Tickets are $25. Register by April 22. Call 254-699-4999 or email jennifer@hhchamber.com.

Family Camp Out at Dana Peak Park

Preregistration begins Tuesday for the Harker Heights Parks and Recreation Department’s first “Family Camp Out” May 30-31 at Dana Peak Park. The cost is $10 per person. Children age 5 and younger are free. Register online at https://apm.activecommunities.com/HarkerHeightsPR or in person at the Recreation Center, 307 Miller’s Crossing, by May 16. Late registrations will be taken until May 23.
