The Harker Heights Rotary Club recently presented a bell and banner to members of the Rotaract Club of Texas A & M University-Central Texas.

“This gives them the official elements to begin and end their meetings in much the same way we do,” President Bobby Whitson said.

Rotoract President Howard Ray of Brady and members Matthew Coble of Warren, Ohio, and Hazum Albatarseh of Killeen accepted the banner and bell.

“This is a token of our appreciation for their persistence in getting a club started this year on the campus,” Whitson said. “(The club) is not even a year old and is taking TAMUCT by storm.”

Rotaract is a service club for men and women ages 18-30. Sponsored by Rotary Clubs International, Rotaract clubs are described as true “partners in service” and key members of the Rotary family. There are 8,400 clubs all over the world, including about 170 foreign countries.
