At Nolanville Elementary School November 19, student council members Nevaeh Halbach, Josephine Dover and Camren Davidson work to count a portion of the 1,850 food items the school collected for the Killeen area Food for Families drive that culminated the Friday before Thanksgiving week to stock shelves at five area food pantries.
Skipcha Elementary School student council president Bailey Parker hauls a load of donated food from a school bus into the Killeen Independent School District's administrative annex building that houses the HARP program, which serves homeless students. The elementary school conducted a drive that yielded about 1,600 food items for the program.
