Harker Heights police are still looking for a man who robbed the Black Meg 43 restaurant at gunpoint May 16.

Police got a report of an aggravated robbery with a firearm around 9:23 p.m. May 16 in the 500 block of East Central Texas Expressway. The suspect used a handgun and stole almost $800 in cash from the business, said Sgt. Roosevelt Wilson Jr., police spokesman.

The suspect is described as a male and was last seen wearing a dark blue jumpsuit, a paintball mask, a bandana around his neck, old black and white Jordan sneakers and tan gloves.

As of Wednesday, police had not apprehended the suspect.

Wilson said shopping thefts are “on the rise slightly” in Harker Heights. “Retail merchants should keep a watchful eye out for any suspicious activity and report it immediately.”

Vehicle burglary reports are down this week, Wilson said, because of officer saturations in high-volume areas throughout the city.
