The Stewart C. Meyer Harker Heights Public Library and Activities Center is closed today to observe Good Friday, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Anime lovers can catch the action of an Anime Afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Various genres of anime will be featured for ages 12 to 17.

’Tis the season for baseball, and if the recent rainy weather is keeping ball players away from the game because of a flooded field, a movie may placate them until the field dries. The local library is a good source of baseball related movies.

Among the DVD titles in the library catalog about baseball are these new releases and old favorites.

Children and parents can share in several music and story times that bring together learning and fun.

Baby Steps is at 9 and 10 a.m. Monday. Storytime is at 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Toddler Time is at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Explore a new topic when the Homeschool Club meets at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Science Club meets at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday for a hands-on look at one of the sciences.

The Book Discussion Group meets at 6 p.m. Thursday to discuss Jane Harper’s “The Dry.”
