The Centex All-Star baseball game scheduled to be held this past Monday in West was postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will now be played Monday at 6 p.m. in West.

Jacob Mitchell and Daniel Cole will compete in the contest for Harker Heights, and Mitchell will also participate in the second annual Heart of Texas Fellowship of Christian (FCA) Athletes Victory Bowl tonight at 6 p.m. at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton.

Cole will compete in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game on June 17 at 1 p.m. at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, as well.

Also competing in the FCA Victory Bowl this weekend is Knights offensive lineman Travis Simpson, who will participate in the football game Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Waco ISD Stadium in Waco.

A youth football camp will be held July 31-Aug. 2 at the Harker Heights field house.

The camp starts at 8 a.m. and concludes at 11:30 a.m. each day. The camp is for grades one through nine, and the cost is $50 per participant. All checks need to be made out to the Knights Court Booster Club.

Each camper will receive a football camp T-shirt.

Participants will develop fundamental skills necessary for football, and the camp will be conducted by Harker Heights varsity football coaches and former players. Each player will learn offense, defense and special teams.

Concession stands will be available via the Knights Court Booster Club.

All campers are asked to wear a T-shirt, shorts and cleats and bring sunscreen.

There are three registration options. Forms can be dropped off at the Harker Heights field house, walk-up registration will be accepted on the first day of camp at 7:30 a.m., or registration and payment can be mailed to athletic coordinator and head football coach Jerry Edwards at Harker Heights High School.

Registration and payments need to be mailed to 1001 E. FM 2410, Harker Heights, TX, 76548.
