The Harker Heights volleyball team's run through the Cedar Creek Classic in Bastrop ended Saturday with a loss to Waller in the tournament championship game, 18-25, 25-16, 25-23.

That was after the Lady Knights (16-3) won their first seven tournament matches, capped by a comeback win over Victoria West (18-25, 25-17, 26-24) in the semifinal.

Senior setter Katie Schulte led with 39 combined assists, Jordan Denney had 23 digs and Anjane Janda added 17 kills. Against Victoria West, Heights’ front line put on a block party as Janda, her sister Kathleen Janda, Deysia Burden and Shantraie Rodriguez combined for 15 blocks.
