At Ellison, Katie Schulte dished out 36 assists and scored on three aces as the 20th-ranked Lady Knights make the Lady Eagles’ bid for the playoffs more complicated four days after securing their own first postseason bid since 2006.

The sweep means Tuesday’s rematch at No. 15 Copperas Cove could be a chance to secure at least a share of the District 8-5A title with a Heights (36-4, 10-1 8-5A) victory.

Anjane Janda led the Lady Knights with 11 kills, followed by eigh apiece for Caitlyn Young and Chante Mitchell. Jordan Denney had 18 digs and Kathleen Janda added five blocks.

Ellison (15-18, 4-7) was led with 10 kills and four blocks from Kaitlyn Shearer, with Malaysia Hope contributing 23 assists, six digs, and six kills to match Kortni Taylor.
