Belton finished fifth as a team, just ahead of sixth-place Harker Heights, which was led by 12th-place individual finisher Scott McEwan (16:58.3)

Copperas Cove took 12th with senior Cameron Woodberry finishing sixth individually (16:42.2) and Leonard Kim finishing ninth (16:54.8).

Also bringing home gold for Salado was Ashley Adams, who won the 1A/3A girls race with a time of 13:10.4, sending the Lady Eagles to a runner-up team finish behind Giddings, with Saxton China coming in third individually (13:26.1).
