The Salado baseball team wrapped up its season with a strong showing on the 22-2A All-District team, announced earlier this week.
Senior pitcher Casey Frazier added to his long list of accolades by being named Defensive MVP of the district, one of seven first-team selections for the Eagles. Pitchers Britton Hawes and Drew Van Winkle, catcher Cole Haag, outfielders Davis Little and Caden Eary all earned first-team nods in their senior seasons while junior first baseman Barrett Snyder also joined them on the first team.
The second team featured the future of Salado baseball as sophomores Cody Wolf and Chase Basham and juniors Keaton Mims and Jacob Little were joined by senior Jake Bloomer on the squad.
Seniors Cody Proctor and Tyler Tischler were honorable mention selections.
The Eagles also will be well-represented when All-Star games are played this summer as Frazier will play in the prestigious THSBCA All-Star game June 14 at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
Frazier will be joined by Haag and Hawes in the AABCA All-Star game June 9 at Dell Diamond and in the Central Texas All-Star game June 10 at Baylor.
Salado ended the season with a record of 30-12 and advanced to the Region III-2A final for the second straight season.
