TEMPLE — Mason Hesse hit a home run in Temple’s six-run first inning and gave up just two hits in four innings as the Wildcats rocked Killeen 17-0 in their season finale Friday night.

The Wildcats (10-18-1, 5-9 8-5A) added seven runs in the second inning while holding the Roos (4-20-1, 3-11) to just a pair of singles.

Hesse struck out seven and did not issue a walk in the win. He was also 2 for 4 with four RBIs, including his two-run shot early in the first after Chase Truelove walked to lead off the Wildcats’ inning. Truelove was also 2 for 2 with four RBIs.

Garrett Gaskamp and Daniel Vega both singled for the Roos’ only hits.
