At Killeen, a five-run seventh inning sealed the game late for the Wildcats, who scored eight runs combined in the sixth and seventh innings. The game was back-and-forth heading into the sixth, with seven lead changes. Temple took the lead in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Chase Stone, scoring Ashton Jackson.

Stone went a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate for the Wildcats (7-14-1, 2-5 8-5A). Rene Ramirez was 3 for 4 and scored three runs for the Roos (3-15-1, 2-5), while Garrett Gaskamps was 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI
